One of the main events in the business world – the ХХ St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – was opened in Saint Petersburg. The delegation from Sevastopol headed by the Governor of Sevastopol Sergey Menyaylo took part in the opening ceremony.
During the second day of the Forum agreements on cooperation were signed with heads of Irkutsk, Orenburg and Novosibirsk Oblasts.
Sergey Menyaylo – the Governor of Sevastopol:
"We develop our interregional connections and build up business cooperation with all interested parties. It is extremely important for Sevastopol under current conditions of external pressure. However, many our subjects actively strive to approve themselves here. This tendency shall favorably influence the development of the Russian economy in whole".
Aleksandr Reshetnikov – the vice-governor of Sevastopol:
"The Forum is a direct dialog with the business community, including representatives of foreign countries, who are still afraid to show interest in Sevastopol in public, but I want to emphasize – only in public!"
Sergey Smirnov – Head of the Department of priority project of Sevastopol development:
“These agreements will let us establish a dialog with our colleagues, in particular, in the sphere of internal tourism – with Irkutsk Oblast, IT-technologies – Novosibirsk Oblast. We also plan to increase the trade turnover of food products group with Orenburg Oblast”.
We remind, that the day before the Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Meniailo signed a similar agreement with temporary acting head of Tula Oblast Aleksey Dumin.
